Why do European hornets seem more docile than any other wasp/hornet species I've seen? They don't seem that interested in attacking you much. Just taking care of the nest.

I saw an underground nest like that when I was doing yard work as a teen. I just sat the running lawnmower over top the entrance for 10 minutes and they took care of themselves.

Why would you want to relocate a yellowjacket nest? They have way too many places to live already. But I love it watching the "clucks" follow you around. They know what they are going to get. Great protein source for them. And the big plus, you get paid to feed your chickens! 😂😂😂😂

I don’t understand why you didn’t just cover the hole with the vacuum. I know it was to film, but many wasps escaped and these precautions are necessary to ensure more people don’t get stung.

2 years ago I heard scratching in my walls so I knocked on the ceiling and it dented just a bit. Well I'm sitting in my room and a wasp just starts flying around, then another and another. I looked at at that dent and those fuckers ate a hole in my ceiling. We called an exterminator and when they were all dead, he said to patch it up with larva and all. NOPE! I ripped all that shit out. You can see emerging pupae. That would have started the damn process all over again.
